Will not start
yea back in the vally i think the battery may have flat lined of is shallow charging what i would do it put a volt metter on the battery while its show 11 volts have some turn the key and i bet it will drop to zero
Had a friend try and jump start it today, and it started right up. So, it looks like I will be saving my pennies, and saving my dimes to buy a battery for this thing. Stuck a voltmeter on it, and it is only showing 10.5 volts now. Thanks for all the suggestions guys.

Thats great news! I would recommend the same battery i got but it isn't cheap... $240 later and i have a yellow top Optima battery with 750 CCamps so i don't think i will need one any time soon. Plus it's Gel cell so if i go wheeling and it somehow moves round i don't need to worry about spillage
Yeah, the local Autozone wants $189 for one of their optima batteries. I don't have that kind of cash, so I will have to get a cheaper one. The exact replacement for the one in the Bronco now is $123 with the tax added.

The jump starting was recommended in the first reply....sometimes it is hard to get all the suggestions covered when they are mentioned, or the help to do it.....glad it worked and you can move on.
I realize that......it is hard enough to get someone to help when a person is in good health, and being laid up makes it that much harder. A lot of people would just wait for someone else.....you didn't....you pressed on looking for issues.
I checked and filled the water in the battery the day it would not start. Also tried making the cable connections tighter, but was unable to, which is why I bought the new cable clamps. Still no luck, and when I bypassed the solenoid, and got nothing, I decided to wait until I could get it jump started. Even though it is not fixed, I am happy now, because I know what needs to be replaced. Not knowing what the culprit was, was driving me crazy.
Az Yeah, this being partially disabled is a major pain in the bottom when it comes to working on the Bronco. It would probably be a different story if I was this way my entire life as I would not know what I was once capable of. Now, something as simple as crawling under the truck to check starter cable connections is impossible for me. Heck, even bending down to pick up a dropped socket is impossible. Good thing I have a "grabber" tool
