I've been told that a lot. Even with my 5er guys keep telling me I'm over loaded because I have a F250. I try to explain to them that its the same axle as the one ton's and I have air bags. My statements most of the time fall on deaf ears. Of course, maybe I'm wrong.

Most of those guys believe modding their truck was taking it to the dealership and having the PCM re flashed for the 400/800 upgrade. I'll take your word any day of the week and twice on Sunday!

Thanks! When I stepped up from a 27' 5er to my 34' 5er my weight almost doubled. I got on here and asked for opinions if I should get a one ton dually. Most reply's were to get the air bags. There of course is the added stability of a dually . To tell you the truth, I was relieved. I had started a lot of mods and was starting to get some good pulling power and didn't want to start all over again, LOL. Now if I can only figure out this 'trace of antifreeze' in my oil

To the OP if you have two 3500lbs axels then your trailer is rated at a max of 7000lbs

Hey Mike, that's pretty good adding or is it multiplying, LOL? That's why I finally went to H rated 16ply tires on my 5er rated at 5K apiece. 16K 5er, 20K carrying capacity I now have 4K extra for comfort margin. Oh, by the way, I have 8K axles but 2 1/2K is in the truck. I got tired of flats big time.

Glenn when I had my little 6x10 trailer built I had them put a 3500lbs axel under it with 16" wheels I wanted to make sure I could never overload it. I have the old 10ply tires off my truck on it so I have plenty of a comfort zone on it

Good idea, that being on the edge weight wise is no good. A problem with trailer tires that most don't know is they are only rated at 62-65mph. My baby loves to go 70mph, just a good rpm and power range for her. That fact also contributed to my flat tire problem. My new 17.5's are rated for 75mph. More comfort zone, LOL.
