stock boost output.

searching for a couple days and I seem to get mixed answers. What is the stock boost output for the 06? I am getting 22psi at WOT. Others on the board are reporting anywhere from 25 to 30. I am merely going by the gauge on the dash while I await my scangauge II arrival.

I can hit 28 constantly with my EV2 doing the reading. I have seen 31 a couple of times while pulling the 5th wheel through the Ozarks...but it didn't last very long (about 5-10 seconds). My truck is about as stock as they get. No performance mods...just monitoring equipment.

I need to have the 5th wheel hooked up to get approx. 28. About 25 empty. The boost gauge I feel, factory, is fairly accurate but ambiguous because of the gauge spread. If I was getting 30 or above I would have head gasket concerns. JMHO.

yeah I mean I would rather be underboosting than overboosting that is for sure. I have a faint exhaust smell with the heater on every once in a while and I am wondering if I am starting to have a slight leak at the up pipe. Would explain the slight underboost and the odor.

I was NOT thrilled when I seen the truck do that. The truck also got the exhaust up to 1475F-1500F while all this was going on. At that point I shut the cruise off and took care of it "old school". I have never had taken 11k up the mountain like that...and until 4 months ago there wasn't a boost gauge to keep up with this. So right now it's watch and see what's going on.....

That would be my first thought...leak in the exhaust.

welp I am doing standpipe and dummy plugs along with blue spring this weekend. Looks like I will track down my exhaust leak and pull the turbo and replace the up-pipe the following weekend along with the STC fitting. gotta love tossing money at a 2 week old to me truck hahaha

Ran WOT this weekend after Banjo Bolt replace and Blue Spring Mod. 06' F350 Dually. Broke rear tires loose on pavement. Boost on scangauge 22psi. Ran like a scalded ape. No hestitation out of the hole.

When I first had my truck, I saw 31 a few times, but after the reflash, I've never seen above 26. Which makes me happy, I don't need no 31 lbs with stock head bolts.
