I do have a three prong relay in the blower circuit located under dash. It must be a factory relay seeing NAPA had a part number for it. It was ordered and when I hooked it up, blower worked again.

It's called an A/C Relay part # ECH AR235. Blower does not work without it.
NAPA may call it that, but...that's not what FoMoCo refers to it as.

D3TZ-19706-A .. A/C Blower Motor Resistor Assy-3 terminals / Use with factory installed Integral A/C or Hi-Lo Vent System.

Applications: 1973/79 F100/350 & 1978/79 Bronco.

I looked that part up on Napa and that's a generic relay sure enough. I wonder if it's used on earlier model trucks with AC only.

Bill

I think the reason NAPA does not refer to it as a Resistor may be because it's not one. We are looking at two different parts, the part number i posted is a NAPA number-ECH AR235Relay.
Ford # D2LB-14C690-AA and if i remove it my blower stops, because i have one does that mean I have a Camper Package ?
Thanks

NAPA gave me the Ford part# D2LB-14C690-AA and they called it a blower motor relay for my app but it is generic and has many other apps.
See ND's post showing it as a Saftey relay, maybe to protect the blower switch? I also have the Resistor that he looked up.
I think 79F150400M needs the same relay.

FoMoCo does not refer to the above as a "blower motor relay."

Yes. That's it!!! You even gave me the NAPA part number. That's excellent. In the Chiltons manual they call it an "accessory safety relay".....so I think we're on the same page here.

FYI
Bill, "AKA NumberDummy" posted this in another thread, I guess Ford liked this handy little relay, the member that started this thread needed it for his A/C. Check out the price from Ford! There is a OEM NOS on ebay now for $19.99. Happy to help.

Thumbs up Thanks much !!!

I am new to this Ford thing and very impressed with the service I have had from my old truck. (shoulda got a ford sooner) this truck is (door tag) listed as 8800 gvwr. I am retired now and must keep it operating at a low cost. The chance to "strip" as much as I wanted from a 91 150 XLT was given to me so with tools flying I got a lot. not sure what crosses to my 90 F250. but I would like to have your input in the future ... you came recommended by many on FTE !!!! Thanks Dave. (former Hac.Hgts resident)

You'll get the hang of it. It take a little bit but once you figure it out you open up a wealth of ford knowledge.
