No worries. Just sounds like you need to slow down when working on intricate parts especially cast aluminum and white metal. When I was younger and worked at the speed of light I always broke something. Then an old mechanic told me to slow down get the feel and take my time tomorrows just another day. Funny thing is, things stopped breaking after that.

I'm 100% positive that is my problem. I always in a rush to get things done and this is what happens. Just got back from the stealership to pick up the new parts. Hopefully I can get the old one out and the new one in without destroying anything else. I'll have to take my time!!!

I broke bolts all the time we I was a kid, dad was always bailing me out, he said to me one time that "not everything is a tractor lug bolt", I still break things but a lot less often, also showed me a trick to get bolts that won't come loose, that a pin punch & hit head a couple times, not to drive it thru just shock the threads. Luck to ya, if it pisses ya off walk away for a while.

this guy might have been who ya needed,

There was an update to the fuel supply line in mid 2004, if I recall correctly. See this link, picture #2 and the associated text.

2005 Update Page 01 Running Updates

If this is the case, the '03 and early '04 part number should be different than the later '04 and up part numbers.

OK. Never mind. I guess there is a difference in the first number. My feeble brain, a cold and it's too early in the morning I guess.

Ok, I have the housing back in. New fuel filter, new oil filter, attached all the fittings and nothing broken yet. I walked away when I got frustrated and everything is going well. Just need to replace the lower fuel filter and then run back out the store and get a 1/8" NPT female to female coupler to hook up the fuel pressure gauge. Let's hope there is not a leak somewhere. Also, will I have to worry about air in the fuel line since I disconnected everything?

Do you have the metric threaded adapter that you need to hook into the pressure sensor port? It's not NPT.

I got my adapter from Diesel Manor, I believe it's 12x1.5mm with an o-ring to 1/4 NPT. Then I used a standard 1/4 NPT 45 degree down elbow so the sensor doesn't hit the radiator hose.

I have the adapter from diesel manor. I have the steel braided 24" extension line for the sensor. I just need to pick up the coupler to attach my sensor to the extended line.

I'm sure this baby is going to smoking when I start it up. I had some fuel spills during the process. I even had a little coolant spill on the belts and down on the intake. I also don't a 36mm socket for the lower fuel filter. Guess I'll pick that up too.

Once all this is done I have to bring it to the dealership and figure out why the hell it's taking so long to start when it's been sitting for a few hours!!!
