FAKE and dumb. It's front wheel drive...who wants to drag around 8 tires? It's also a 1992...labeled as a 2005.

Or the ******* that built it couldn't figure out how to hook the rear axles up and pulled the rear shaft.... I bet there's a 4wd shifter or buttons there somewhere

It could be a factory conversion.. but it didn't come from a Ford factory. There are all kinds of problems with the posters claims not the least of which is that the TTB is not designed to haul the whole truck around and that alone means Ford would never do this.

And with the tandem axles it would more then likely see a fair bit of weight... Otherwise why would someone do it?

No way that's from Ford.
There's a conversion company out there that does low-floor truck & van conversions that takes a 4x4 truck or van, sets it up as front wheel drive only, removes the rear drive axle, and does a drop floor & torsion axle in the back. They can get down to a cargo area floor height of less than 12" above the street. This looks like one of those, with tandem axles. The one picture from the rear looks like the bed might be real deep...

What I find interesting is that nobody actually bothered to run the VIN decoder that Danr1 was gracious enough to post for us. Thanks, buddy!

According to that, the truck is registered as a 1992 4x4.

I doubt it's from the factory. What I find ridiculous is this front wheel drive business. The seller mentions twice that it's front wheel drive, not 4x4. As others have said, front wheel drive on a truck like that is useless.

Not only that, but it simply defies the logic of owning that kind of a truck. If someone is going to take the time to modify a truck like that, it's pointless to do so unless the truck is at least a 4x4 if not a full 4x6.

I'm curious if the seller means that the rear-front axle is the drive axle, and the rear-rear axle is a dummy axle.

But as others have said also, maybe they just screwed up the mod and now it's stuck as a front wheel drive.

Yep, you can see the CNG tanks right in the middle of the bed. Obviously not going to be hauling much, and no trailer hitch either.

I read it that the CNG conversion is factory. Don't know if that's possible.
