302 mounts
hi,
I have looked all over, i have a 1940 flathead would like to use a modern 302 also - i know trans dapt has universal mounts, but you have to google search for them....
you can also check tinmanfabrication.com
the flathead mounted from the very front of the engine while the 302s mount mid engine, so you may have to have a custom made up,
let me know how it goes, i am still looking for a solution.

Also take a look at ..::FatmanFabrications::..
I used their mounts, but it was easier because I installed their IFS in my '47

About 8 years ago I put a 302 in my 40 ford 1 1/2 ton. I used the mounts from the donor truck which was an early 70's f100. I remember I had to do some reworking, but seemed like half as much work and they held up fine in hard use.
