Spent the day digging like a dog in sugar sand. Back in the day I had a 76 Chevy with limited slip, I almost forgot what a PITA they are. Got her out by myself with the help of a stack of 2x4's. Had to put a log on the gas pedal, pry the truck out with the 2x4, then chase the truck down the road once it came. don't try this at home.
Haha sweet manuver. Ive done some good ones like that before. My guess on the side that grabbed first would be the opposite side you were trying to pry from, it usually does flinging mud, sand, snow, whatever all over you. Haha so is life.
well as the saying goes, pics, or it didn't happen!!
and we have sugar sand up here in the north too. just not as much as down south.
i showed a guy the ls trick years ago with the crown vic in 12 inches of snow.
he was going to go get a dozer to push it up the hill to get out of the yard, and i said don't bother, it has a LS diff.
i then showed him how by gently applying the brakes locked the rear diff up and drove through 12 inches of snow 300 ft up a slight incline to get out.
Ya. the brake is and even load, so the more pressure on them, more equally loaded the axle is. Use it just enough to get both tires to turn. Use this all the time.
