Identify this part, please...
Was working on cleaning all my wire connections behind my dash..also speedo doesn't work, so went to clean that as well and wanted to clean other end and followed it back to this "thingie" what is that, looks pretty bad and a lot of other wires go into it. TIA!

That's the proportioning valve; it should only have one pair of wires going to it (brake warning switch). You can see those coming out to the right; they're encased in a protective sleeve.
Yours doesn't seem to have all the brake lines running out like it should. I only see the line for the rear drums and it doesn't look right either.

After hearing that I tracked it again..and..does that look more like it? lol..should I take it out of there and clean off? Any tips on making my speedo work again?
