Hand operated parking brakes on US dents ?
Hi Guys
I recently acquired a 79 F100 here in Australia. I have slowly been going over it replacing parts, making adjustments, lubrication etc. One thing on my list was to adjust the parking brake. When I first 'googled' parking brake adjustments for a 79’, all I found were the foot / hand operated levers on US sites. I recently picked up a copy of the Australian factory repair manual. The lever is referred to as an Orscheln hand lever and is mounted under the dash. The lever both engages and disengages the parking brake. Is this design unique to Australia or are there some of these floating about in the states ? Just curious..
