I think i may have read something about the tube size on the late 99 being bigger than the early 99 spider which has tube sizes the same as the plenums from our trucks opening size. but i think i also read somewhere that someone makes silicone boots that can adapt a late 99 spider to our trucks plenums.

Early-99 spyder has the smaller tubes and is a "drop in" for the OBS trucks. Late-99 and beyond require the larger plenums, SD turbo/pedestal along with up-pipes and SD DS manifold. The SD turbo does not have as aggressive a wheel is what I understand, so guys put in a OBS wheel to make up for it. It is the same as a Wicked Wheel.

I bought the whole SD shooting match from manifold to plenum, and then stumbled on two E-99 spyders. I settled on having an intercooler first and maybe later I'll do fancier mods.

Yes, you can put reducer boots to make the Late-99 spyder fit, but after you have to update the manifold, up-pipes, turbo and pedestal, the plenums are the easiest part! And with the reducers in place, you are still throttling the air to the motor.

I can only use one E99 spyder at a time, so the other is extra if you want it you can PM me. Or if you want the entire SD setup, I can part with it, too.

Here is an interesting link if anyone is interested in making their own spyder and pipes.

Another way to do it in this link and a very well done write up with a lot of pictures.

I was waiting to hear back from J_leah or something here on FTE... that was like 3 weeks ago he posted up he had two or three spyders for sale from a friends junk yard.
Never heard back after 2 weeks ago.
The other guy on PSN took like 2 weeks, but he told me his sold.
Currently I am out of ideas sorry.
But i sure will keep an eye out and make a thread or something of "Spyders and other stuff for sale"
Maybe people will post up cool things other fte brothers might want/need
