Stiff steering on 75' F350 2wd
Swapped in a 84' 460/c6 from RV, including PS pump.
Steering box is old 75' box.
I happen to notice before 1st road test that the fluid was milky. So I drained and refilled. Still milky, so I attempted to bleed it of air after reading online about milky fluid.
When driving the truck, get no noises (squeaks or groans), steering seems stiff/lack of power assist from center to either side, but is gradually easier as I get closer to lock.
Of course that could be from the rolling momentum.
I was thinking moisture from the system being open so long. Up on jack stands it seems to steer decent back and forth, not like new, but OK.
Thoughts? The pump is putting out pressure.
Thanks.
