Hi,
I have a 1975 f250 highboy with the power assist steering and it steers perfect to the right but no power steering to the left. It has fluid, has new pump and no leaks. is it possible it just needs to be bled? Or would it be better to just swap it to a steering box?
Could be that theres a blockage in there somwhere, bleeding might help that... also I think theres an adjustment bolt on the steering box might want to check and make sure that it isnt tightened down all the way or too loose. Not sure on if the power assist has it or not, I dont have my Chiltons in front of me right now.

Did you ever find the problem ? I have a 73 F-350 with the same issue.I replaced the PS pump and it was fine for about 10 miles into my drive, then bam,no turning to the right.I did a small amount of research on it on the internet and its looking like the symptoms of steering box failure.Keep me posted if you come up with anything,Thanks,Keith
Pull the lines at the steering ram check for fluid flow. There is a valve in the link between the pitman arm and axel where the lines come out its spring loaded and can get stuck there is alot of pressure here so be careful! Just a lite turn on the wheel should get you flow out of the lines. One line is for right turn the other is for left.
