dirty maf sensor

dirty maf sensor

i had alot of eratic starting problems a couple weeks that i posted , no fuel presure when it wouldnt start, i had a mechanic tell to clean my maf sensor and havnt had any problems since? is that possible or is it some thing else that started working again properly, just curious thanks any feed back on that would be appreciated

Not the air meter.
It has no imediate roll in inital starting.
The fuel pump restarting, the PCM supplying spark timing and the cam sensor signals for fuel injection and PATS is all there is.
The cold/hot start part of it involves the head temp sensor and intake air sensor and IAC position and other supporting items..

You have something intermttant.

A dying GEM module can also cause a no start issue.
