Dad's 81 Ranger XLT has F0187 and T0370 as codes in the DSO block. NumberDummy says there's no way to decode those, so I'm wondering if others might have those codes and know what packages they represent.

 

Gary, didn't someone recently post a copy of the special order sheet? That might help to decode those packages.
Otherwise, I got nothing.....

 

Those codes as far as I understand are special to your individual truck and placed on the vehicle at time of manufacture by the assymbly plant.

Back in the day, the dealer or you yourself, could contact Ford and get a build sheet from them. If you sent them these codes they could also look them up in the records for more precise information of what equipment was special ordered. Since Ford sold/gave most of their information to Marti, or lost a heck of a lot of it themselves, I'd say it would be a safe bet the information on those DSO codes is lost for your truck.

Might be able to contact Ford about it, or Marti Direct and see if they can help.

81: I could call Ford and/or Marti, but from what little I've read I don't have high expectations.

All: I was kinda hoping maybe someone else had a truck with one or both of hose codes and we could compare options and figure out what they mean. And/or, maybe we could have everyone send in what codes they have as well as what packages or options they have. Perhaps that would let us decipher them. Am I dreaming?
