I took my 94 150 up to ammco for a diag today.
They told me that when they plug in they reader thing to the ecu plug under the hood it picked it up and knew it was plugged in but it wouldnt run the test , they tried 5 times still no results.
I can take the truck up and have this checked out but I wanted to see if anyone has ideas on what the problem could be before I spend the money.
I'm willing to bet they didn't connect the tool properly, but in any event you can test this theory and also get the codes yourself with nothing more than a paperclip. Find the EEC Test harness under the hood near the drivers side inner fender and put a jumper(paper clip) between the Self-Test-In and Sig-Rtn wires, turn the key to run and count the flashes on the check engine light.
