Hi guysl
I have the box sides and front panel to a 1948-52 pickup box that's been in my stash for years. A friend expressed interest in it for his 48 F-2 project which now has a stake platform on it. However this bed only measures 86 inches long rather than the 8 foot bed he wants. This bed looks exactly like a larger version of the F-1 1948-50 pickup raised panel bed(which I also have) but it's a foot shorter than the 1948-52 F-2/3 8' express bed. Anyone have info on this? I vaguely remember seeing references to the 86" bed but can't track them down. Thanks for your help.

I'd be interested in seeing pictures of and learning more about your mid-sized bed. That's highly unusual and by all accounts, doesn't exist. The only options that I'm aware of are the ones published here in Ford's literature...
