Mirrors? Pictures needed!!

So I'm trying to figure out what I want to do for mirrors. I've seen a few in LMC and some other aftermarket catalogs. I don't want anything big or bulky looking, I want to try and keep it on the sporty looking side of things, as well as sticking to my theme "no buck". I was just curious what everyone has found or used? If you guys could post some pictures I would appreciate it. Thanks for all your help.

Stock with a rounded close up mirror stuck on the outside corner is best for most driving/hauling/towing except the wider rv's. Sporty is just that, sporty. Not much use except for looks. I don't like the large western style mirrors, they block my view to the left and the right too much, and blind you more from lights behind at night.

I've tied the original 'sporty' Ford mirrors and they didn't hold up. I'm looking for an alternative. Does the 87-96 mirror fit our upper mounting holes?

I run the original small style chrome mirrors, have no problems. They're plenty big to see everything out of. IMO the big "Western" style mirrors look like crap, all the ones I've seen end up damaging the door too.

Yes these are the ones that I'm leaning towards. I didn't know if anyone has found any off of any other vehicles that work and look good?

I like these stock mirrors on trucks like yours. And your truck is BADASS by the way, just don't think they would look good on my truck with the type of look I'm trying for.

Skoiv, your truck is beautiful!

I too prefer the stock swing out mirrors. but I love the westerns I have on my highboy. I thought I had some pictures of a truck with some newer, more "aerodynamic" mirrors, but i will have to find it again.

I'm using the replacements from LMC, VERy disappointed in them. The bases started rusting after less then a month. Going to have to blast / paint them.

Skoiv - Are your mirrors themselves mounted to a piece of strap that itself is attached to the mounts? Dad's truck's mirrors are done that way and they can be swing in or out by about 6" for towing. They look factory, so I'm trying to figure out which package they came with.

I can do pictures if need be.

They are original to the truck. One was broken, but I found a replacement at the junkyard.

Not sure what you mean by a strap but yes, the swing out for an extended setting. In the pic they are swung in. It is a camper special, thus the swing out extendable (stock) mirrors.

I'll take pic's of those on Dad's truck and post them to see if that's what they are as well.
