I have a 1963 Ford F100 with the 223 engine, it has a 1 barrel carb on it and I cannot find the air filter (everything) for it. Went to auto parts place and got a paper one that was supposed to fit, it even had adapters, got home and the smallest adapter was almost a 1/3 too big.
Anyone know where I can get the air filter assembly? Either a paper one or the oil bath one, I just need a filter for my truck.
John, I will figure something out, where do the other guys who have the 223s get theirs anyway? Surely someone makes a modern version of the old oil baths somewhere.
Anyways, thank you and Mery Xmas.
My next challenge is getting the wipers to work, heater to work, cigarette lighter to work, turn signals to work and horn to work. Sure glad I fell in love with the old 63!!!!
Gary, I wish I could help you. I have a complete oil bath you could have somewhere in this nightmare of mine but I'm in the process of trying to move and have no idea where it is or when I will find it again!!! Tom
stockcar nut, thank you for considering that, good luck on the move...That and sitting in a hospital with a loved one is the hardest work in the world..
