3 inch lift.

I am thinking about doing a 3 inch lift in the front. (new coils):

3" 05-10 Ford F250/F350 Super Duty Front Lift Coil Springs @Top Gun Customz

And a 3 inch add a leaf in the rear:

3" 05-07 Ford F250/F350 4x4 Rear Add-A-Leafs (Pair) @Top Gun Customz

Will i need any other parts other then U-Bolts? Do you guys think this is a good approach?? I dont wanna stack blocks nor do i want any spacers in the front as a have a V-Plow. Also does anybody know how well those rough country springs will hold up against a plow?

Thanks! and hope you guys all enjoy ur christmas!

I was selectively reading, as I was thinking that you got a lift. Perhaps I shouldn't have had that last beer last night!

WHERE are the PICS?

Those Rough Country coils are probably softer than your stock springs (especially if you have the snow plow package) so they will probably sag a LOT with the weight of the plow on them.

Nothing wrong with an add a leaf in the rear, but I would be very surprised if you get the advertised 3" of lift by adding just one leaf.

I hope their not softer. I do got the plow package and my front end considerably sags. The V-Plow that i have weighs in at 1,100 pds

I found the specs on those springs, they are rated at 495 lbs/inch. I assume that rating is for each spring. So, 1100 lbs would make them drop a little over an inch. Figure in the leverage from the plow hanging out ahead of the truck and they will probably drop about 2" with the weight of the plow. Not as bad as I though they would be. Of course, if they sag more than you like you could add air bags.

I would call them to see if they are progressive springs or not. Also even though it is a minimal lift. I would see if they recommend new cam bearings and a adjustable track bar. those things are very important. The cam bearings at least, so the vehicle can be aligned properly. But I would get also get the adjustable track bar.

Its just not as simple to put in new (taller springs) and have it all work together properly. Can you just do that ? "yes". But then you will have extra stress on the joints and possible the death wobble. Tires that wear faster.
Icon makes a 2.5 system that you can look at to see what i am talking about regarding the cams. ICON is a expensive set up, but doing right will save you that money you thought you saved by going with something did not cost alot.

Just my opinion.

Download their 2011 catalog:

http://www.roughcountry.com/install/...ry_catalog.pdf

Spring specs are on page 119. Part number for that kit is 9284.
