Carb ID & Choke issues
Well, sorry for starting another thread like this but I'm missing my carb tag and from what I'm reading there are no stampings on these carbs that will ID. I can make out 1.21 and 1TAKA on the driver's side? It has a sticker with blue border stating its a reman? Not sure what Carb # I should reference for parts? From reading all the carb/choke threads It looks like its a 2100 series, but I need something else to give my parts man.
Also truck isn't starting too well this winter-it has the choke heat tube, couldn't find a hole in exhaust or intake manifold for it and I scoured around quite a while looking. Its just kind of hanging out by the pass. exh. manifold still sheathed in asbestos. The connection for the pull-off on the back of the carb is also busted. I'm wondering if I might have a different intake or exhaust that was replaced over the years without the proper connections. I'm thinking about going the electric choke route, due to cost/effort of replacing parts to get the orig. auto choke up and running, but will I still need the choke pull off working if I go the electric choke route?

I believe its a Motorcraft 2150 carb, there is a seller on Ebay who could probably tell you better, look up a user there called something like "gottafishing"-he sells Autolite/Motorcraft carbs that he rebuilds-he knows these carbs well.
Look up this guy on Ebay, He knows these carbs pretty well and can identify it for you-(I think its a Motorcraft 2150.......1960 292 FORD FAIRLANE GALAXIE AUTOLITE 2100 1.02 C0AE-H CARBURETOR | eBay

You don't need a 2100 series carb ID tag to get the carb kit, because...
D4AZ-9A586-A (replaced C2AZ-9A586-B) .. 2100 series Auto-Lite/Motorcraft 2V Carburetor Kit (Motorcraft CT-499D) / Available from Ford and a gazillion autoparts stores.
Applications: ALL: 1962/74 Passenger Cars/Trucks / 1966/74 Bronco / 1969/74 Econoline.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
1970 was the first year for the following and your carb has one, cuz I can see it:
D0AZ-9J459-C .. Choke Pull-Off Diaphram (not included in carb kit-mounts into airhorn).
Applications: ALL 2100 series Auto-Lite/Motorcraft carbs: 1970/74 FoMoCo vehicles.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
F100/350: As original from 1964 thru 1974: The corrogated paper cartridge fuel filter (C4AZ-9365-B / Motorcraft FG-1A) fits inside a can that threads onto the fuel pump.
Most peeps are unaware, so they install an inline fuel filter. Meanwhile...the original is getting more clogged up daily.
2150 series carbs introduced in 1975. One trait of the 2150 carb: The fuel filter threads directly into the front of the carb, has a nipple on one end for the fuel hose to clamp onto.
And...there are SEVEN different 2150 carb kits for 1975/79 FoMoCo vehicles. If the carb's been swapped and the tag is missing, lotsa luck getting the correct kit.
Thanks for that ND. I found the larger fuel filter when I crawled underneath to change the oil for the first time. I haven't checked for filter in or by carb yet. Made the mistake of overtightening that can for the filter under pump-those old mechanical pumps can still develop quite some pressure!-nice surprise when I started her up again. Still thinking I'll go the elec. choke route for now, but I have to order one.
