POWER STEERING PUMP FAILURE
Short story; Early 99 F-350 power steering pump failed, replaced pump and and hydroboost hose. Problem is it is leaking at the compression fitting on the output side ( high pressure ) of the pump. I tightened it to the point I was afraid of damaging it. I then backed it out and used the provided O ring. That did no good. In my experience, you usually dont use teflon tape on the threads of a compression fitting. Could the remanufactured pump be the problem? Anyone have a similar problem? I need to try something to get the leaking stopped.

check the sealing surfaces of both the fitting and the pump for a deep scratch, in my previous experience with these fittings, during maintenance, if the fitting gets dropped or knocked around it can get some dammage that wont allow it to seal properly.
and its possible to have cross threaded it on the way in... I have done this before... Boo!
