Those pics of it running looks exactly like mine when I first started her up lol. The nieghbors about died lol. My girlfriend had this look of "oh my god what have you done to your truck!" on her face but never said a word.

Mine smokes about like this until it warms up. Timing doesnt seem to change it. And it doesnt go away until a bit after the hi idle kicks off and it just slowly gets better. Misses a little while its smoking as well, does yours? I think i may have torn something up running straight #1.

Straight #1 doesn't have the needed lubricity man. Ya you may have torn something up in there.

Thats what im thinking, never thought about it until too late. When i would run it, it would run worse, but when i went back to #2 it was fine. However it was progressively getting worse, and now that im back on #2 again, its better, but not better enough, not by a long shot. Really a bummer as that pump and injectors ran pretty good. Now since i have the turbo on there, having other "odd" things happen, but they might not be bad.

I personall didn't have to pull the front apart to find the mark but it did take some doing.

Thanks that helps a lot I'll take a look at it when I get a chance and see if it clears up some smoke but I still wanna replace the injectors just so i don't have to pull it all apart again in a little while

Hey guys I know its been awhile but I got my new injectors in and everything put back together and now I'm getting fuel past my filter but not past my injector pump. The fuel shut off solenoid and timing advance both light up with a test light and I can hear them click on when the key is on but when I go to bleed the lines I'm not getting a drop of fuel out of the lines. I'm really hoping its not a bad injector pump... again I'm getting sick of pulling this all apart just to find another problem. Can anyone help me with getting fuel to my injectors?

I'd guess it's just air locked, how long did you crank it? Do you have an electric pump or just the factory lift pump.

I cranked for for about 20- 30 second at least 50 times letting my starter cool cause I don't want to burn out my starter, and its a new lift pump

I know this is old, but mines doing the same thing unless i keep it plugged up and it's not as bad but mine smokes worse than yours did on cold starts. The injectors fixed yours? I'm thinking I have the same problems. I put new glow plugs return lines and o rings and caps no leaks now but massive smoke.

I scanned the replies and did not see this possible answer or a solution, yet. Have you checked your return line check valve? There is a similar post and problem on youtube that goes through the repair with almost identical problem.

Edit: LOL, Never mind...., post # 58 says it all. How did I miss that?
