I have a friend with a shop about 15 minutes from him. He's not the most diesel savvy tech, but I could run up there if I wasn't busy, or just let him know what to check out. Send me a pm if you're interested.
And the price is on the high side for around here. I've seen perfectly straight 1 ton's sell for 7
Agreed. Take some tools with you and give it a good going over if you decide to go look at it, but that does look really clean. Around here, that is a $7,000 - $8,000 truck.
He has sent me more pics, interior is clean, drivers seat has the typical rip from sliding in and out, truck looks clean everywhere as far as I can see in the pics. He said he put new turbo on because he wanted to put quick spool banks wheels in it. I have no clue what that means, my 7.3 at home isnt a turbo. So Im pretty clueless on the 7.3 psd. Feel free to go look at it if you want, Id just act like you are interested. Ill keep asking him questions on it and see who knows what Ill decide.

If you want to email me the pics, I will post them. addictedoffroad at gmail dot com
The explanation for changing the turbo makes sense. I think it is worth the couple hours you will invest in going to meet this guy and looking the truck over. Although I have to warn you, you better take your title with you because you're going to like the PSD after driving the F-150 for a while. Not as comfortable a truck, but it is a great workhorse.
I would definitely look at it. Review the link I posted above, and take a look. Your current F150 is pretty much at the end of its life with close to 200K on it. The PSD is still likely going strong.
He may want to get rid of it for your "gas" truck because, not everyone prefers diesel's and he may be having a hard time getting rid of this one as fast as he would like.
He may also not realize the value of it ( diesel), I would jump on it before it's too late.
id wait it has rust on it and he doesnt care to help someone out hes looking for money i think! i got my 97 clean old man owned for 7 with 180k on it runs awesome no leaks and just a clean truck!!!! keep looking youll find one
