Well after my minor mishap and dealing with the insurance company. They will be cutting me a check for $2400 for the repairs to the truck bed/ext cab panel. Problem is they want to repair the bed...which means filler, I am not a fan of filler of any kind, especially in a truck bed. I've priced beds and what a huge gap in pricing. Any where from $1500-550. Naturally none in the matching "willow green" that I need. So maybe its time to part with the old girl....hate to do it after putting the new tranny in 5,000 miles ago. Anyone know where I can get a decent styleside bed?

www.davissalvage.comwww.eastonautoparts.com and www.ace-autoparts.com have all had parts that I needed. I have only bought from davis though. They are worth a look if you can't find one at a locat junk yard. Also Maaco usually has a pretty good deal on paint not always the best quality paint is used but if price is a factor, it will still look good.

I'm not sure how bad the bed is but when I got mine fixed they did the same thing and when you look at it from behind you can only see one VERY small spot that probably has a little filler. I was amazed at what they did, I never thought you could reshape it that well.
