sct x3 question

im buying a sct x3 from a buddy who sold his 6.0l and i have a question.
he had a tune for a truck with the same drivetrain. can i just upload it to my truck or do i have to go have it tuned specifically for my truck?

Also depends on whose tunes are on it... I know Mike at KEM vin locks his tuning

Get the sct and have Clay at Riff Raff set you up with some tunes from KEM

Well there's a shop here in town that does custom tunes... I just didn't know whether or not I had to have it rewritten for my truck or if I could just go with it
