Hi, do we have problems with the caliper hoses? Mine just started leaking? Has anyone tried a stainless steel hose for this, if available? What is the difference between a wide and narrow frame? I have a 2001 SRW F350 Crew Cab, would that be narrow?
i was going to buy that same set, but i needed new front leaf springs so i put them on hold. i have skyjackers on my 78 F150 that is my mud truck and i have no problems. I know Russel are the best know for street braided lines so i wouldn't see a problem with them. If you wait a month or so I'm putting them on my F350 also and i can let you know. If not just put a set of rubber aftermarket hoses, the factories lasted 10 years....
and yes braided stainless steel is far superior to factory swells. the braided steel keeps the inner rubber hose from swelling when the brakes are applied so you get firmer pedal and less fade. plus Russell hoses are also wrapped in clear vinyl so dirt and debris doesn't get into the braided stainless. And from what i found the Russell's are 100% bolt on and match the factory has ends. where i know sky jacker lines are a little different and you have to bend the bottoms a little to fit around the caliper and such.
