front brake hoses for a 77 F-250 4x4??

i am having a hard time locating new front brake hoses for my truck, the build serial # is Y63944, so its the later F-250, NOT a highboy. all the local parts houses keep getting me hoses with the wrong end on the side that mates to the hard line. i need a fitting thats a hexagon shape so it will go thru the tab on the chassis, they keep getting me a round style with a flat side. LMC has the same style hoses. any help guys ??
thanks!

A good brake shop, online or local, can make whatever style hose you want. Should be no problem. If there's nobody local to you, try eBay. Bought a set from seller "Goodbrakes" and the quality is good. I'm sure there are others. Here's what he has to say:

"We can make almost any Brake or Clutch Hose to suit any type of vehicle.

All Hoses we make are D.O.T. compliant and meet or exceed International safety standards for brake hoses. Not all brake hoses sold on eBay are D.O.T. which can put you and your vehicle at risk.

Every hose is pressure tested to 21,000kpa (3000psi)

We offer both Rubber & Braided Stainless Steel hoses. (Stainless Steel Braided do cost more)

Original Equipment Quality. All of the hoses we make will install in the vehicle just like the factory hoses.
No grinding, or adapter fittings like other hoses sold.

USA made and Insured."

you can also do steel braided brake lines, stronger than factory rubber, you can buy them at JEGS,SUMMIT, or LANE automotive. I have everything to change mine over just havent felt up to it yet.

I just bought a right side for a '78 F250 disc brake 4x4, I got it at CARQUEST and the number is SP8597. It fit fine, it is made in China though. Was $26.

Not sure NOS brake hoses are going to be the best way to go? 30-40 years is a long time for rubber. Maybe if they are stored correctly. Seems to me new quality manufacture would be best.

I doubt the NOS hoses are this old, more than likely they are less than 20 years old...as they were still available in the late 1990's.
