its a class c motorhome,it runs fine then when it warms up after driving on freeway about 10 miles it boggs down and dies ,pull over it starts right back up idels fine then when you take off get to about 55 same thing.so i started waiting till it started to bogg down then i switched fuel tanks it took right off then about10 miles down the road same thing switched fuel tanks took right back off,i changed the small sandstone filter in the carb, thats the only filter on this ,any help would be great
Check the Tank selector valve. Blow some compressed air through it. There have been discussions here, run a quick search. Subford is the expert here on dual tanks.
if only one tank would choke off like that, i would blame the strainer in the tank for being clogged, but both tanks wouldn't randomly get to that point at the same time.
i once had an 86 where the tank selector valve started sucking air and the carb ran out of gas with 2 full tanks. there was no quick recovery, it required bypassing the valve until a replacement could be found.
many of us running older rigs like to install a clear universal filter right before the fuel pump where its easy to inspect, as it prevents problems AND shows any problems with excessive sediment coming through the lines
