I've got a 99 F350 4x4 V10 that is stuck in 4Low. It was never put in 4low. Started the truck and the transfer case automatically locked it in. It is the electronic shift on the fly. What could be the issue and how do I fix it?
I've checked fuses, not sure where the relays for the shift of the fly system are, so if anyone knows where their located I'd appreciate it. According to the fuse chart they are #40, but there is no #40 location labeled under the hood.
Tried putting it into 4low, 4high, then back into 2 wheel and no luck, still stuck in 4low.
It wont come out of 4low at all. I had it in neutral and foot on brake and it will not shift at all. It has electronic shift on the fly. The shift **** on the dash is on 2wd and the transfer is in 4low.
I ended up taking the shift motor out of the transfer and shifting it manually back into 2wd.
I tried shifting into 4low/2wd/4high with the **** on the dash with the motor out to see if it would respond and there was no response.
