The shift motor needs power to shift it out of 4 low so pulling a fuse won't do anything. To shift in and out of 4x4 low you have to be in neural with your foot on the brake. If that doesn't work you can pull the shift motor off of the transfer case and use a wrench or some pliers to shift it back into 2wd, until you have time to fix the problem.
I had that same problem, my degas was overflowing and shorting out my shift motor. Easy job, maybe an hour and $190 for the better motor, $125 for the cardone.
Did you check the fluid level? I was once at a gas station where this guys car couldn't move. Checked the fluid and it was off the stick. Filled it up with tranny fluid and off it went. Just a thought.
