Terror Alert Falls From Orange to Yellow
WASHINGTON - The Bush administration lowered the national terror alert level to "yellow" Wednesday, saying the end of heavy fighting in Iraq has reduced the threat of terrorist attacks.
"It has bounced between yellow and orange since the system was put in place in March 2002. The highest alert level, red, and the two lowest, blue and green, have never been used."
Do you all mind these alerts? I'm asking what exactly do you guys do differently, if anything, when you hear or read about this stuff. Do you check your door locks more often, or do you extra remember to oil your favorite long guns? I tend to be indifferent to Homeland Security levels, I actually do kind of prepare when hurricane season starts though.
These were just a couple clips from a newswire on my start page, if you're mildly interested here's the link:
I go about my life as if they didn't even exist, and will continue to do so. I refuse to allow these "certain" individuals that have some kind of inclination to violence cause me to alter my life style in any way, shape, or form, and I'm not about to be a prisoner in this country. If I wanna hop on a plane, train (ewww), bus (ewww), enter a building etc tomorrow, then I'm gonna do it and if I don't come home that night then, well, all I can say is I've had a great life.
