i took off the coil had it tested they said it was good but i replaced it anyways since its not a constant problem could it still test good? and is there anyway to check the distributor to know if its bad? if i still have the problem i will replace it next
When stuff is intermittent like that, if you test it while in a running condition it will likely test good. Easiest to go trial and error with new replacement parts as long as they aren't too expensive, in my opinion.
You replaced the coil so that only leaves the stator in the distributor. I wouldn't recommend a rebuilt distributor as they have a terrible reputation. I would replace the stator in your present distributor.
