I didnt think you were supposed to run re-treads on steer tires?
Certain DOT rules say that. I'm not sure of the specifics. But it does not apply to our personal trucks.
What I found with Treadwrights is that they were not priced low enough to be an economical choice. By the time I had them shipped and pay someone to mount them, I could buy a brand new highway tire locally. They are much cheaper than BFG T/A KO, and I like the tread pattern. But if budget were the driving factor, you wouldn't be looking at the BFG anyway.
DOT doesn't allow retreads on front wheels of commercial trucks. Not sure about non-commercial. I gave up on retreads in the 70's after too many failures to list.
