How bad is this wobble? How large are your tires? Sure this is even a balance issue?
I run 40 inch and 44 inch tires at highway speeds and do not suffer from this balance problem. Heak I run beadlocks with the 44's and I run this thing on the street.
Often times I have found that a plain old balance with clamp on or stick on weights is suitable. Even my 44's only take around 10 ounces each. I have found that if the tire has too much runout, then I knock it off of the wheel and re-mount it. Sometimes this takes a time or two, and this is a real pain with 32 bolt beadlocks, but after everything is done, they seem to roll very well.
They are 38" swampers on 16.5 rim. I've knocked some rubber off them in the drive thru and trails so they maybe out of balance. Ther're worn pretty good so I'm looking for a smoother quiter tire. I found this innovation web site and also heard of guys running with bb's to balance there tires. the theory makes sense. Looking at the Trxus sts tire. Do you know anything about them. Not really needing a true mud tire anymore. I got the swamp buggy for that.
Well, I am sure that a new tire will have less problems with the balancing. As for your current ones, perhaps replacement is the best way to go.
The STS tire had some popularity out here but, fell away and I dont see them as much as I used to.
I have run Dynabeads, and the problem was that my tires (at that time) would let some water and mud in to the tire so the things just got all messed up and made the problem worse.
Anyway, I am not sure that I am much help with the tire selection, but perhaps a user with these might offer some assistance.
Again, plain old weights seem to work just fine for me.
