hpop removal

Why are you replacing it? Have you done any data logs of ICP? Is it just leaking and you cant tell where from? There is a "non-serviceable" plug that is a common leak, yet it is serviceable!
Here's the write-up for the repair http://www.dieselorings.com/docs/service_plug.pdf
Clay can also get you the parts. Riffraff Diesel Performance Parts: - HPOP Parts/ O-rings
For your question, capable wrencher pulls the fuel bowl in a half hour or so, then another half hour to hour to pull the HPOP.

I almost changed my hpop once, turns out I had a fuel leak on the fuel bowl drain valve o-ring. I thought it was oil as the fuel would become black from all the engine grease it would pick up on its way to the driveway. Either way if its not the hpop this site will help you figure out what it is.

It is not that hard of a job really like everyone has said. You need to pull the fuel bowl and you will need the fuel line sleeves (click on the hyperlinks in blue text) (1- 3/8", 1- 5/16", & 2- 1/4")
Drain the HPOP Reservoir
Drain the Fuel Filter Bowl
Remove the EBPS (access to fuel bowl bolts)
Remove the Fuel Bowl (2 bolts, 5 lines, and a connector)
disconnect the HPOP lines (need a special tool, can me made easily)
Remove the access cover on the front
Remove the 18mm bolt from the HPOP gear (dont drop the washer)
Remove the 2 10mm bolts holding the HPOP in.
Remove HPOP (place rags in valley to catch residual oil)
repack HPOP with rebuild kit
Reinstall everything back! Be proud that you did it yourself!
