We converted our 73 f250 plow truck with power steering. Today the pump is froze up and the belt just spins over the pulley.
The power steering is working hard and was wondering if their's another pump that will work better (heavy duty)?
They are with the Ford pumps with the plastic reservoir.
Here's the set up I made. I just modified the brackets on the GM pump and the engine brackets on the Ford. What was missing, I made my self. It only took a couple hours to make the modification and get everything lined up and stable.
Supposedy the GM type saiginaw pump is marginaly better than the ford ones. The bracket, pump and hoses can be found in mid 80's vans, and some 460 powered passenger cars.

They say the have it but its not in stock. They could have one in stock at the store but its very unlikely... if your napa has one i would be willing to buy it off you. I have called my napa multiple times seeing if they got one in..

Interesting, have you tried ordering one or just calling and asking if they have it? I believe their order screens are different if they actually enter an order into the system versus just searching a query. Not sure, just guessing.
I know my local NAPA had a month or so ago (it was around $84), because I was thinking of swapping one into my Ranger, but decided not too.
Either way, if it helps try asking for the optional pump for an 88 full size Bronco.
