Transmission model #
Where can I find the model number for the transmission for my 03? I need to change the external filter if there is one and they are showing two possible filters at the parts store. Dealer wants $115 for one I think that is steep!

A place to get filters for your truck.
For the external filter, get the NTZ, it's less expensive and they are the same filter.
[NTZ09-C09B] - Ford Torqshift transmission external Transmission Filter(replaces FT145)-Includes O-ring - Diesel Filters,Additives,brake rotors, and brake pads for Chevy, Dodge and Ford Diesel Trucks

Waterboy any parts store i have been to has not had them and most likely never will its a dealer or get it from diesel filters online . My dealer is high at around 40 for it yours is trying to bend you over and no lube what so ever.

Autozone had it in stock for $23. How does the dealer come up with $115? Thanks for the replies.
