Converting to a solid axle
I have a 99 f150 4x2, i want to convert it to 4x4, but a solid axle. A company by the name fabritech makes a solid axle conversion for our trucks. I have seen pics of this on the internet, but no response by the people who did them. I just would like to now how the install went can i even do it, because i am starting with a 4x2 not a 4x4.

Sure its possible. Its probably even easier to do on a 4x2 than a 4x4, as there are less componets to remove. On the other hand you will have to fab up a transfer case setupI know of people who have made a 4x2 a 4x4 and an IFS a Solid axle. Both are a LOT of work. But its kinda a completely custom thing.
