Well I guess crap happens at the worst time no matter how you take care of your Ex. Last night I took my 15yr old daughter with 4 of her friends and her 30 year old Aunt to B96 Jingle Bash. Its a concert, if you want to call it that, of all the top pop artist's today. Anyway I went to pick them up at 11pm and started the 1 hr ride home, as soon as I exit the toll road the Ex dies on me. Then it dies at every stoplight, Of course the girls were freaking out. A quick search of the FTE and I knew I had to replace the IAC. A trip to advance auto after the online discount and 15 min swap time, I am up and running smooth. Thanks to all you guys and girls who post solution's here.
I was surprised at how easy it went for me. I was not looking foward to the swap but it went well. Stood on a 5gal bucket 2 8mm bolts and it camer right out.......Winning!!
Mine took the better part of a day last summer to do. The vast majority of that time involved letting the engine cool off. Amazing how long it takes to get the engine just below sizzling when it's hot outside.
