So, im sitting here with nothing to do on a saturday night, so im just off thinkin. Iv seen some people put the coil spring superduty axles in obs. which is cool, but most people dont have the money, time or ambition for that lol. why hasnt anyone used obs parts to make a coil spring 4x4 D60 set up. all 2wd obs have the brackets that go on the frame, it seems all that would have to be done is mounting the coils to the axle, like the 4x4 f150s. I wonder if that would work.
the brackets for the coils/shocks, the radius arms and brackets can all come from a 2wd obs f350. and just model it like the f150s.
hmm
well maybe this would require time and ambition, but it would prolly be cheaper than superduty axles....
but if this were to be done and some one firgured out the coilspring to d60 and the radius arm to d60 attachment, it seems it wouldn't be much harder then an rsk w v codes
i think the coil buckets are to wide so when you hang to coils they wont hit the axle in the right spot. the newer sd have wider front axles and the coils land tight on top of the knuckles of the axle. But it would be nice and i have thought about it.
ya but you dont want a scissor axle in your truck do you?
But see those sd axles are wider and designed for it.like i said i'm temped to do that but i dont no how strong they are with it designed like that, but i bet its a nice ride.lol.
I think hopefully soon i'm going to do 4link air ride and then it will be a nice ride.
