FYI fuel disconnect line is 1/2 inch. Posted as 3/8 or 5/16 multiple places. Still waiting for UPS man to deliver pump so we can get to grandma's for christmas.

Thanks. Sadly the fuel pump didn't come in time ( even paid extra for shipping) so we won't get to spend Christmas with grandma.

I do have a $30 bluetooth OBD and a $6 app for the android which seems to do everything that the scangauge will do. Pretty cool device.

You dont have to pop any line to actually replace the fuel pump itself. No need to replace the entire HFCM.

Steve look on the forward end of your HFCM (opposite of the fuel filter cap) and there is a set of wires connected to a round head (thats actually the fuel pump) with i think 3 screws in it. The HFCM is just a housing really, you can replace the actual pump without buying a whole new HFCM. Search for a 6.0 fuel pump on ebay and you will see what it looks like. Its a black tube about 1 1/2 inch in dia with a flat dome head on it.

Was this pressure KOER or KOEO, I would start with filters, 1 bad tank of fuel can plug a filter. If KOEO pressure comes to 55+ & KOER is 40 then it could be filters or HFCM inlet restriction (tank pickup plugged) Hate to see ya change pump & still have same problem.

Doc, I have the pump by itself already coming. Just wondered if there was an easier way to put it in. Actually seems pretty easy to yank the whole hfcm.

I really don't know the difference. Pressure was taken at fuel test port. Surprisingly the fuel pump is about the same cost as a premium set of fuel filters.

Fuel pump most likely, I would pull unit & do on bench, you can clean everything & no crap dripping in your face. Also cycle pump a few times before starting to clear air. Good luck

Here are links to the individual pump and to a diagram on the fuel pump and where it resides in the HFCM (this was in your other thread on the subject):

Thought I would add these to this thread since people may find it w/ the search feature.

Where did you get your fuel pump from? Did you pay less that $199? Any Ford part numbers (ie other than HFP964)?

Their drop down menu did not show a pump for a 6.0L diesel. Did you call them to get the proper pump?
