4R100 Tranny Question

Have an '02, F450, diesel w/4R100 tranny. At random times and for no apparent reason, the Overdrive "off" light on the gear selector level begins to blink "OFF". I have not pressed the button to turn the overdrive button "off". Pressing the button does nothing. However, the tranny shifts into and out of the overdrive without hesitation and there is no problem with shifting into or out off any of the other gears. When I shut off the engine and later restart the light does not blink.

Is the tranny trying to tell me something??????

The flashing OD off light indicates that a transmission code has been stored, meaning that your PCM thinks there is something wrong with your transmission. You need to read codes.
