Towing mileage
Just thought I'd throw this out there. Went up to Mansfield, Oh today from Columbus which is about 70 miles 1 way, pulling an 18' box trailer to pick up some custom cabinets from the Amish. Trailer is about 2K empty and maybe about 1500 in cab on the way back, not heavy but there was a nasty head wind and I got 10MPG. Not to bad with the 4.10's.

Forgot to add I was rollin about 70-72 MPH.
Oh and the Amish workshop was unreal. A 4cyl diesel motor powering a single shaft pto that all the saws, drills, planer and etc ran off of via pulleys. It was a simple, effective setup that was really cool to see in person.

10mpg in a headwind at 70mph sounds like pretty good fuel economy to me. I have yet to really drive my manual transmission, but with my old automatic, my fuel economy would dive as soon as I got north of 55mph or so.

Yeah it wasn't heavy at all, but the wind was crazy. I was happy with the mileage and the customer bought fuel anyway so....
