ive been lookin to get a ranger, i found a nice one thats clean in and out, has 165k 4.0liter 5 speed manual 4x4, lifted with whole new suspension, i was wondering if its gona be reliable and good in the snow, i havnt owned a ford yet. thankss all
I'd say that with 4 wheel drive, you should be fine in the snow. I've never gotten stuck in the snow with my RWD Ranger; just need to take it easy and use good decision making. I tend to drive after the plows have done their job. However, getting to work with a couple of inches unplowed on the road, working the day, and making it back can be a challenge, especially with hills involved. I won't say I was worried about the ride home, but I made it safely with planning the route and keeping the distance between me and the guy ahead at a comfortable gap so where I needed to use momentum to crest a hill, I had safe space to do it.
