I was installing my manual shift transfercase and the MLPS was in the way. I loosened the two 8mm bolts (didn't remove anything) so that I could manuver the 4x4 linkage into position. Got everything put back toghether, started the truck and put it into gear....nothing. I immediately figured I had misadjusted the MLPS so I go to put it into park to kill it, and when I try to go into park I can hear a light grinding sound from either the back of the dashboard or under the hood. I have been trying to get this thing adjusted for about an hour now but I need help. I replaced the MLPS about 3 years ago and it didn't give me any trouble. Every adjustment I have made results in the same outcome: no gear engadgment, starts right up, light grinding from somewhere if you try to put it into park.
