Dash light dimmer not working

Dash light dimmer not working
The dimmer wheel next to the light switch doesn't do anything on my 2000 F250. It moves and clicks into the dome light detent, but the dash lights do not brighten or dim and the dome light does not come on.
The dome light works when the door is open and the dash and radio lights come on, the radio time goes from day time mode to night time mode as well.
Anyone have a fix before I tear into this?

I don't mind where mine are "stuck" at other than I light my gauges bright in the dusk type hours and I can't do that...

Solved.
I had my light switch out when my dash was apart for another job. I opened up the switch unit and found the "wheel" was not engaging the actual switch. Popped it back in and now the dash lights work normal! Wish I had torn this apart years ago. Took less than 2 minutes to fix....
