Brake lights...E-Z wiring

Figured out the housing was supposed to be the ground.. on mine black from the light was brake and red running... still no brake lights.... my aftermarket turn signal doesnt have hazards... going to call tech support tomorrow and see if it can be done without the hazard circuit.
