The headlight plugs on the harness are female. The plug that I'm talking about is male ... Are we on the same page with what one were talking about?
Exactly, you'd pull the headlight out of the trucks harness connector then plug in your pictured add on harness into that same connector you just unplugged the headlight from.
That is why that one connector is male so it will plug in where the head light plugged in.
I have 4000k HIDs and they came with a new harness to pull power directly from the battery. They work amazingly well and are bright as the sun... white light that is. The new harness was very simple to do and the ballasts are tiny. Paid 75$ for it all and lifetime replacements on the bulbs.

The price of the harness and 80w bulbs would be close to the price of a full hid kit. Not to mention higher wattage filament bulbs have maybe a year life span.
