1987 350 to 150 swap

Hello im new to the site ( nice site by the way ) and i have a 1987 350 supercab dually RWD slite perfomance 7.5 (460), carb, auto, with pos and gear rear end . my question is can i swap the motor / trans and rear end in to a same year or matching year f150. i do believe the motor and trans can swap but the rear end is the question - daully back to single . Or well i be able to do a rear end gut swap . Please if anyone knows if this is ok pls inform . Love the power and traction just hate the body sometimes

Yes, BUT

You will need to swap your F350 coil into the F150 to take the 460 weight

You will need the 460 engine perches which are rivited to the frame

The dually axle will be a problem though. There is no way to convert it to SRW. The DRW axles are 6" wider than SRW axles so your tires will stick out 3" further than they are supposed to

If you want a srw truck the easiest thing would be to get a bed andrear axle and bolt on your truck. I'm not sure what you want to do with the f150... do you already have a parts truck?

And bash .....i like the single cab f150 body style better ...really want a 4x4 f150 but i want to keep my motor and tran .... buying a truck with a blown engine or no engine is ok with me considering i got my truck for free.

460 never came in a F150.

And I would recommend getting a3/4 or 1 ton rear axle. the 8.8 can hurt its self no less w a 460 in front of it
